JOB TITLE:                             BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE

 

REPORTS TO:                        MIKE COMER, NATIONAL SALES MANAGER

 

LOCATION:                             CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS WITH ASSIGNED TRAVEL

                                               

STATUS:                                  FULL-TIME, EXEMPT, SEASONAL

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for locating new opportunities for Vantine Imaging through developing relationships with new customers in order to acquire signed contracts with new customer organizations that allow Vantine Imaging to provide the customer and its members with our products and services.  This position is the primary contact for inquiries from potential customers.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;

  • Contact potential customers through, but not limited to, phone calls, email, and mailings, and on campus visits in order to communicate opportunities to do business with the company.
  • Match products & services to customer requirements, and close contracts for defined products & services.
  • Collaborate with marketing to facilitate new programs, messages, campaigns, and offerings, including participating in marketing-related events.
  • Increase market penetration on targeted campuses.
  • Establish & maintain relationships with key strategic partners, e.g. Greek Life, Alumni Organizations, Advisors, House Mothers.
  • Meet with key clients in order to negotiate & close deals.
  • Serve as primary contact for inquiries from potential customers.
  • Answer competitor-related questions, analyze competitive data in order to provide a successful resolution in a competitive selling situation.
  • Gather marketing and contact information (re-con), using the internet, phone calls, emails, and other methods, in order to effectively approach potential customers.
  • Consistently update & maintain the information in the database, e.g contact, competitor, pain and contract information, to provide accurate market information as needed.
  • Attend trade shows & conventions.
  • Prepare weekly sales activity reports showing sales calls, sales volume, potential sales & client retention.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with, and an understanding of the operations of the Company’s Sales, Customer Service & Scheduling departments.

 

 

SKILLS AND ABILITLIES REQUIRED:

 

§       Ability to successfully sell contracts between Vantine Imaging and customer organizations.

§       Extensive knowledge of Company products & services as well as competitor’s products & services.

§       Highly organized with excellent time/territory management skills.

§       Strong written, verbal & email communication skills; & good listening skills.

§       Proficient with social media.

§       Strong leadership qualities, both with customers & coworkers.

§       Ability to develop & foster positive relationships with clients, strategic partners & potential clients in order to further business objectives.

§       Ability to use Vantine Imaging’s personal computer/printer & various software packages.

§       Proficient in utilizing Apple based operating system & the MS Office Suite of products.
